Our 5 Favorite Spring Activities

Our 5 Favorite Spring Activities

January, February (and let’s be honest, most of March!) can be some of the longest months out there—particularly if you’re living in a cold climate! Between rain, slush, snow and the zillion layers you need before leaving the house…it can be downright exhausting! If you’re living with a newborn or toddler, you know being confined inside is tough…but getting out can be even tougher.

Well, the good news is it’s officially spring! Give yourself a pat on the back for surviving the chilly months…it’s time to start enjoying life! The days are getting longer, the temperatures are rising, and things are sprouting all over the place. In honor of this all-over fabulous season, we’ve put together a list of some of the best warm weather activities..things you can start enjoying right away. And to make it even more fun, we’ve coordinated them with our favorite Covered Goods® patterns, because (let’s be honest) our multi-use nursing cover isn’t just about breastfeeding (it’s also about style!). Our nursing cover picks will have you enjoying everything that’s bright and fabulous!

Here are five of our favorite spring activities, and the Covered Goods® nursing cover prints to go with them.

A Trip to the Playground

Your kiddos have been waiting all winter for this…time to get back to the swings! And if you’ve been living with a newborn all winter, it could be her first experience with the playground. Take lots of pictures and enjoy it. This is a time you’ll want to remember! Navy is one of our favorite springtime shades…so what better way to celebrate than with our "Navy & Ivory Pinstripe".

A Little Flower Shopping

What better way to teach your little about colors and patterns than with a trip to the flower section of the market? Pick out some pretty bundles and bring them home. You can create a perfect little display that says “Welcome Spring” in the sweetest of ways! Our "Floral Mismatch" isn't available right now, but we think "Classic Black & Ivory Stripe" is another great option! It's the perfect backdrop for all the shades of pink purple and yellow.

Some Outdoor Yoga

Having a newborn or toddler can be busy…crazy…and stressful. Yoga is a great way to unwind! If you’re living with a newborn, leave baby in the car seat and she can watch your movements (or nap!). And if you’ve got a toddler, have her join in! We’re loving the way this mama is rocking our “Shiobori” print…getting her workout in and protecting baby from the sun by using our multi use nursing cover as a stretchy car seat cover. Could life with a newborn get any better?

A Bit of Gardening

There’s something really therapeutic about getting your hands dirty…and what kiddo doesn’t love a little digging in the mud? Invest in a teeny tiny rake and shovel and you’ll be setting yourself up for HOURS of fun. As a big bonus, you can do some flower shopping with your little! We love the way our “Rose Quartz” looks with all these pretty blooms. Although this color isn't available right now, we think "Burgundy" would be a pretty great substitute!

A Day at the Beach

It may seem a bit early for this, but even if you need to bundle up the beach can be a great springtime destination. And…for our mamas in more southern climates, we’re guessing that you’re even into bathing suit territory! Our “Slate Grey & White Pinstripe” is such a great neutral that will go with anything.
